Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Preparation: Ensure the power to the circuit is switched off at the breaker box before installation.
- Mounting: Securely attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling electrical box using the provided hardware.
- Wiring: Connect the pendant's wires to the corresponding wires in the ceiling box (usually black to black, white to white, and ground to ground). Follow local electrical codes.
- Adjusting Drop: Adjust the length of the chain and cable to your desired hanging height. Ensure connections are secure.
- Finalizing: Attach the canopy to the mounting bracket, concealing the wiring.
- Bulb Installation: Install the appropriate light bulb (check product specifications for type and wattage recommendations).
- Power On: Restore power to the circuit and test the light.
*It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified electrician.*
Compatibility:
- Electrical: Compatible with standard household electrical systems (e.g., 120V in North America, 230V in Europe, etc. - verify local requirements).
- Bulb Type: Typically uses standard screw-in bulbs (e.g., E27 or E26 base). Refer to product specifications for maximum wattage and recommended bulb types (e.g., LED, incandescent).
- Dimmer Switches: May be compatible with dimmer switches, provided both the fixture and the bulb are rated as dimmable.
Care:
- Cleaning: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks on the weathered brass exterior, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes, especially on the interior, as they can damage the finish.
- Maintenance: Periodically check wiring and mounting for security. Ensure bulbs are screwed in correctly.
- Finish: The weathered finish is designed to have a unique patina; avoid harsh cleaning that could alter this appearance.
