FAQs

What material is the Phase Eight Mira Dress made from?

The dress is made from 100% polyester.

How should I clean this dress?

It is recommended to dry clean the dress to maintain its pleats and fabric quality.

Is the V-neckline suitable for all occasions?

The V-neckline is a classic design element suitable for many occasions. Depending on your comfort level and the event's formality, you might choose to wear a delicate necklace or layer with a camisole.

What shoes pair well with this dress?

Neutral-toned heels, such as nude, silver, or black, generally complement the blue ombre design. Strappy sandals or classic pumps are excellent choices.

Can this dress be altered?

Yes, like most garments, it can be altered by a professional tailor. However, altering pleated garments can be complex, so consult with your tailor about the best approach.

What is the benefit of the self-tie belt?

The self-tie belt allows you to adjust the waist fit for a more personalized and flattering silhouette, accentuating your figure.

Troubleshooting

Pleats losing shape after washing.

Ensure the dress is dry cleaned or professionally steamed. Avoid machine washing or excessive heat when ironing.

Belt not staying tied securely.

Ensure the belt is tied firmly. If the material is very smooth, a double knot might offer more security. Consider a stylist's trick of using a tiny piece of double-sided fashion tape if needed.

Dress appears wrinkled.

Hang the dress in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes, or use a garment steamer on a low setting. Professional steaming is the most effective method for refreshing pleats.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Elegant and sophisticated design suitable for formal events.
  • Flattering fit with a defined waist due to the tie belt.
  • The ombre effect and pleating create a visually dynamic and eye-catching look.
  • Made from polyester, which is generally durable and easy to care for.
  • Versatile for various celebrations, from parties to weddings.

Cons

  • Full pleating might require specific ironing or steaming techniques.
  • Polyester material may not be ideal for very warm weather.
  • The V-neckline might be too deep for some preferences.
  • The ombre design might not suit all personal styles.
  • May require specific accessory choices to complement the design.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This dress requires no assembly. Its primary care involves maintaining the pleats and color.

Care Instructions:

  • Washing: It is recommended to dry clean this garment to preserve the pleats and the integrity of the fabric.
  • Ironing: If ironing is necessary, use a cool iron setting and iron on the reverse side. For best results, professional steaming is advised to refresh the pleats without flattening them.
  • Storage: Hang the dress on a padded hanger to avoid stretching or misshaping the shoulders. Store in a garment bag to protect from dust and light.
