Setup, Compatibility & Care
For the best results, start by measuring your horse from the center of the chest to the tail to ensure the correct rug length. When setting up, adjust the front chest clips to sit snugly across the base of the neck, and then secure the leg straps to prevent the rug from blowing back. Maintenance is critical for long-term performance: always brush off excess dried mud after use, as this can degrade the waterproof coating over time. If the rug requires a deep clean, use a gentle hose down or a rug-specific wash, avoiding harsh detergents that can strip the outer membrane. Air dry the rug in a shaded, well-ventilated area to maintain the integrity of the synthetic fibers.
