Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing for a secure, comfortable fit. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling firmly but not too tightly. A 'runner's knot' (using the extra eyelet at the top) can provide additional ankle lockdown if desired.
- Break-In: While these shoes offer comfort out of the box, a short break-in period during light practices can help the shoes mold to your feet for optimal performance during competitive play.
Compatibility
These shoes are specifically designed for indoor court sports, with a primary focus on volleyball. They are suitable for various court surfaces found in gymnasiums and sports halls. Avoid using them on abrasive outdoor surfaces, as this can prematurely wear down the outsole and compromise grip.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, gently wipe down the shoes with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For tougher stains, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always allow your shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees or stuffing them with paper to help maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and air them out separately. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda to help absorb moisture and neutralize smells.
