These heavy-duty blue clips from Gardening Naturally are designed for gardeners who need to secure fabric covers to aluminum fruit and vegetable cages, particularly in windy conditions. They offer a simple push-fit solution to keep netting and other coverings in place, ensuring consistent crop protection. A potential caveat is ensuring you select the correct clip size for your specific cage or hoop diameter.

Their primary purpose is to securely fasten fabric covers, such as netting or fleece, onto aluminum fruit and vegetable cages, especially to prevent them from being dislodged by wind.
You need to measure the diameter of your aluminum cage poles or hoops. The clips are available in sizes 11mm, 13mm, 16mm, 19mm, and 32mm to match these diameters.
No, these clips are specifically designed for aluminum poles and hoops. Using them on other materials may result in a poor fit or damage to the clip or frame.
While they can attach fleece, Gardening Naturally recommends using their 'Standard pipe clips' for fleece as they are better suited for this material. These heavy-duty clips are best for netting.
The product title indicates these are sold in packs of 10.
No, the clips feature a push-fit design and can be easily attached to aluminum frames by hand without the need for any tools.
The color indicates the size. Blue clips are typically for 16mm and 32mm (27mm premium) poles, while yellow clips are for 11mm, 13mm, and 19mm poles. Always check the specific size listed for the product.
Ensure you are using the correct size clip for your aluminum pole diameter. The clip should fit snugly. If the pole is scratched or deformed, it may affect the grip.
While the clips secure the netting, very strong winds might still cause some movement. Ensure clips are evenly spaced and consider using more clips along the frame for added security. Check that the fabric is pulled taut before clipping.
Ensure you are applying even pressure and not forcing the clip at an awkward angle. Double-check that the clip size is appropriate for the frame to avoid overstretching the plastic.
Setup: To use the clips, simply identify the correct size for your aluminum cage or hoop. Push the clip firmly onto the aluminum pole or hoop until it is securely seated. The fabric cover can then be draped over the cage and secured by tucking it under the clip or using additional clips as needed.
Compatibility: These clips are specifically designed for use with aluminum fruit cages, vegetable cages, and hoops. They are available in the following sizes to match common aluminum pole diameters:
*Note*: For fleece covers, standard pipe clips are recommended over these heavy-duty versions for optimal performance.
Care: The clips are made from durable plastic and require minimal care. Clean them with a damp cloth if they become dirty. Store them in a dry place when not in use to prolong their lifespan.
