The Hammer and Tongs Scaffold Board Iron Shelf Bracket is designed for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners looking to create custom storage solutions with a rustic, industrial aesthetic. Perfect for supporting heavy shelving in kitchens, workshops, or living spaces, these brackets offer exceptional structural integrity for scaffold-style boards. One important caveat is that because these brackets feature a raw iron finish, users should ensure they are installed in moisture-controlled environments to prevent potential surface oxidation over time.

These specific brackets are designed with a 235mm depth, making them suitable for standard scaffold boards.
It is not recommended, as the raw iron finish will rust quickly when exposed to outdoor weather elements.
Please verify your specific purchase package, as mounting screws suitable for your unique wall type (wood vs. masonry) should be purchased separately for the best results.
While the brackets are highly durable, the total weight capacity is determined by both the bracket strength and the integrity of your wall's anchoring system.
Yes, we also provide these brackets in a black finish for those seeking a different look.
Check that the screws are fully tightened and that the wall anchors are properly expanded within the wall material.
Lightly sand away any surface rust with fine-grit steel wool and apply a clear protective wax or metal lacquer to seal the iron.
Use a spirit level during the initial pilot hole drilling phase to ensure consistent height across all bracket placements.
For optimal installation, ensure you are using appropriate anchors based on your wall type—masonry plugs for brickwork or heavy-duty toggle bolts for drywall. Because these brackets are crafted from raw iron, it is recommended to wipe them down with a light coating of clear furniture wax or a specialized metal sealant if installing in areas prone to dampness. Regularly inspect the mounting screws to ensure they remain tight, especially when the shelves are utilized for heavy items. Do not use harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip the raw finish and accelerate corrosion; instead, a soft, dry cloth is sufficient for routine dusting.
