Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Select a Curtain Rod: Ensure you have a suitable curtain rod. Eyelet curtains require a rod rather than a track. Measure your window width to choose an appropriately sized rod.
- Hang the Rod: Install your curtain rod above your window frame according to its specific instructions. Make sure it's securely fastened and level.
- Thread the Curtains: Carefully thread the curtain rod through each eyelet at the top of the curtain panel. For a symmetrical look, ensure the first and last eyelets face towards the room.
- Arrange the Pleats: Once threaded, evenly space the eyelets along the rod to create attractive, consistent folds and pleats in your curtains. Step back and adjust for the desired drape.
Compatibility
These Hebden Eyelet Curtains are compatible with most standard curtain rods. Ensure the diameter of your curtain rod is small enough to pass through the eyelets, typically up to `35mm` (1.4 inches) in diameter for common eyelet sizes.
Care Instructions
To maintain the quality and appearance of your curtains, follow these care guidelines:
- Dry Clean: For best results and to prolong fabric life, dry cleaning is recommended.
- Machine Washable: Alternatively, the curtains can be machine washed. Use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water to prevent shrinkage or damage to the cotton fabric. Wash with similar colors.
- Line Dry: After washing, line dry the curtains. Avoid tumble drying, as this can cause excessive wrinkling and potential shrinkage.
- Ironing: The curtains can be ironed on a medium setting if needed, to remove creases and restore their crisp appearance. For best results, iron while slightly damp or use a steam setting.
