How can I prevent squirrels from accessing the feeder?

Troubleshooting

Feeder is not attracting birds.

Ensure the feeder is in a visible location and filled with fresh nyjer seed. Consider moving the feeder to a different spot or adding a water source nearby.

Seed is getting wet or moldy.

Clean the feeder more frequently. Ensure the feeder is in a sheltered location and consider using a feeder with a rain guard.

Feeder is difficult to clean.

Use a bottle brush and mild soap to scrub the inside of the feeder. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before refilling.

Birds are not able to access the seed.

Check the feeding ports for blockages or obstructions. Ensure the feeder is securely assembled.
