Full details

This Croydex Leven toilet seat is designed for homeowners seeking to update their bathroom with a modern, functional, and stylish fixture. Its key benefit is the Flexi-Fix hinge system, which ensures a secure and adjustable fit on most standard UK toilet pans, minimizing slipping. A potential caveat is that while it fits most standard pans, users should still verify dimensions to ensure a perfect match. The seat features a sleek square silhouette, a glossy white thermoset plastic finish, and a soft-close mechanism for quiet operation and durability. Additional features include quick-release for easy cleaning and an antibacterial treatment for enhanced hygiene.

FAQs

What material is the Croydex Leven toilet seat made from?

The seat is constructed from durable, glossy white thermoset plastic, which is scratch-resistant, fade-resistant, and hygienic.

How do I clean the toilet seat?

Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Use the quick-release function for easier access during cleaning.

Will this toilet seat fit my toilet bowl?

The Flexi-Fix hinges are designed to fit most standard UK toilet pans. It's recommended to measure your existing pan and compare it to the approximate dimensions of 43.8 x 36 cm and check the hinge adjustment range.

What is the benefit of the soft-close feature?

The soft-close mechanism ensures the seat closes gently and quietly, preventing slamming noises and reducing wear and tear on the seat and pan.

How does the quick-release feature work?

The quick-release function allows you to easily detach the seat from its hinges for thorough cleaning. Reattachment is usually a simple click-in process.

Is the seat antibacterial?

Yes, the thermoset plastic surface is treated with an antibacterial finish to help reduce the accumulation of bacteria.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

The seat is designed to provide support for up to 150kg.

Can I install this seat myself?

Yes, the seat is designed for easy installation with top and bottom fix options. Basic tools and adherence to the provided instructions are recommended.

Troubleshooting

Toilet seat slips or moves after installation.

Ensure the Flexi-Fix hinges are correctly adjusted and all fixings are securely tightened. Double-check that the seat is compatible with your specific toilet pan shape and size. Re-tighten fixings if necessary.

Soft-close mechanism is not working or is too slow/fast.

The soft-close mechanism is integrated into the hinges. Ensure no obstructions are present. If the issue persists, check that the seat is correctly aligned and the hinges are properly seated.

Seat does not close quietly.

Verify that the soft-close dampers within the hinges are not damaged and that the seat is properly aligned. Ensure nothing is preventing smooth closure.

Hinges appear loose or wobbly.

Re-tighten the securing bolts or nuts. If the issue is with the hinge mechanism itself, ensure it is correctly attached to the seat and pan. If there is visible damage, contact customer support.

Quick-release function is difficult to engage or disengage.

Ensure the seat is correctly aligned on the hinge posts. Check for any debris or residue that might be obstructing the release mechanism. Clean the area around the hinge posts and try again.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Leven toilet seat is designed for straightforward installation. It offers both top and bottom fix options, allowing you to choose the most convenient method for your toilet pan. The Flexi-Fix hinges are adjustable to accommodate most standard UK toilet bowls. Ensure the toilet pan is clean before beginning. For top fixing, the hinges are secured from above; for bottom fixing, access to the underside of the pan is required. Follow the included instructions carefully, tightening fixings securely but avoiding over-tightening.

Compatibility: This seat is designed to fit most standard UK toilet bowls, typically those with a round or oval shape. The adjustable Flexi-Fix hinges provide a degree of flexibility. Before purchasing, measure the distance between your bolt holes (usually around 15-17 cm) and the width and length of your existing toilet pan to confirm it matches the approximate size of 43.8 x 36 cm.

Care: To maintain the glossy finish and hygiene, clean the seat regularly with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. The antibacterial treatment is inherent to the material. For deeper cleaning or to utilize the quick-release feature, unlatch the seat as per instructions, clean thoroughly, and reattach until it clicks into place. The chrome-plated hinges can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
