FAQs
Is this bottle BPA-free?
Yes, all Nalgene Everyday bottles are made from BPA-free Eastman Tritan™ copolyester.
Can I put hot liquids in this bottle?
Yes, the material is suitable for both cold and warm beverages, but it is not intended for boiling liquids.
How do I ensure the lid doesn't melt in the dishwasher?
Place the bottle and cap on the top rack only and ensure they are well away from the dishwasher's heating element.
Will this fit in my car cup holder?
The bottle has a diameter of 8.89 cm. While it fits many larger cup holders, it may be too wide for some compact vehicle consoles.
Is the loop-top lid removable?
The loop-top is permanently attached to the lid to ensure you never lose the cap, though it can be pivoted out of the way for drinking.
Troubleshooting
The lid is leaking.
Ensure the cap is tightened sufficiently and check the threads for any debris. If the plastic tether is caught between the lid and the bottle, remove it to ensure a proper seal.
The bottle has a lingering smell.
Soak the bottle in a mixture of warm water and baking soda, or use a diluted vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.
