FAQs

Can I fit a 16-inch laptop in the sleeve?

The sleeve is designed to accommodate most standard laptops up to 15-16 inches securely, but always check your device dimensions against the internal compartment.

Is the backpack waterproof?

While the material is durable and water-resistant, it is not fully waterproof. It is recommended to use a rain cover in heavy downpours.

Does it have a water bottle pocket?

Yes, the pack includes side pockets designed to securely hold standard water bottles.

Can I take this on a plane as a carry-on?

Yes, the 32-liter capacity typically fits within standard airline size requirements for carry-on luggage.

Are the materials different from the standard Nebula?

The Driftshade version uses exclusive, up-spec'd heathered fabrics specifically chosen for a more premium, aesthetic finish.

Troubleshooting

Laptop feels unstable

Adjust the internal compression straps to secure the device firmly against the backpanel.

Shoulder straps feel uncomfortable

Check that the sternum strap is tightened to your comfort level and ensure the shoulder load-lifters are not overtightened.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated, stylish heathered aesthetic
Excellent balance of office-readiness and trail performance
Highly comfortable AirScape backpanel system
Dual-use internal sleeve for laptop or hydration

Cons

Premium materials may show dirt more easily than basic nylons
Not intended for extreme backcountry expedition use
Limited external webbing compared to dedicated tactical packs

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For optimal comfort, adjust the load-lifter straps at the shoulders so the pack sits close to your upper back. Ensure the hip belt is fastened during heavier hauls to distribute weight away from your shoulders. To keep your Driftshade pack in top condition, spot clean it with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid machine washing or drying, which can degrade the specialty heathered fabric finish. Always store the pack in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight when not in use.
