Product Information
Full details
The Trek PAC Quantum MTB 00 - White is designed for adult, unisex mountain bikers seeking a lightweight and comfortable helmet with advanced safety features for trail riding. Its key benefit is the WaveCel technology, offering superior impact absorption, coupled with excellent ventilation and a customizable fit. A potential caveat is that the extended coverage, while enhancing safety, might feel slightly warmer in extremely hot conditions for some riders compared to helmets with less coverage.

FAQs
How do I clean the helmet?
Use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals. Allow to air dry completely.
What makes WaveCel technology different?
WaveCel is a unique cellular structure designed to absorb impact energy through flexing and crumpling, offering a different approach to head protection compared to traditional foam liners.
Can I wear this helmet for road cycling?
While the helmet offers excellent protection, it is specifically designed and optimized for mountain biking. For road cycling, a helmet designed for that discipline might offer better aerodynamics and ventilation characteristics.
How often should I replace my helmet?
It is generally recommended to replace a helmet every 3-5 years, or immediately after any impact, regardless of visible damage. The materials can degrade over time due to environmental factors and use.
What does the 5-star rating from Virginia Tech mean?
A 5-star rating from Virginia Tech signifies that the helmet performed exceptionally well in their independent safety testing, indicating a high level of protection against head impacts.
Is the visor removable?
The visor is adjustable to three positions and is designed to remain attached. It is not intended to be fully removable for standard use.
Troubleshooting
Helmet feels too loose or shifts during riding.
Re-adjust the Headmaster III Fit System dial for a tighter fit. Ensure the camlock straps are properly secured under the chin and adjusted to lie flat.
Visor is difficult to adjust.
Gently apply pressure to the visor's adjustment points. Ensure there is no debris obstructing the visor mechanism. Refer to the manual for specific adjustment instructions.
Straps are uncomfortable or twist.
Ensure the lay-flat camlock straps are correctly oriented and adjusted to lie flat against the head and jawline. Clean the strap adjusters if they feel stiff.
Interior padding feels rough.
Ensure the padding is correctly installed. If the issue persists, consider cleaning the padding according to care instructions. Replacement padding kits may be available.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Adjust the Headmaster III Fit System dial at the rear of the helmet until a snug, comfortable fit is achieved. Ensure it does not feel too tight or cause pressure points.
- Position the three-position adjustable visor to your preferred setting for optimal sun and debris protection.
- Adjust the camlock straps so they lie flat and comfortably under your ears, with the buckle resting below your chin.
Compatibility:
This helmet is designed for adult mountain bikers. It is compatible with most standard mountain bike eyewear. The integrated sunglass storage is designed for ease of use but may vary in fit depending on the specific size and shape of sunglasses.
Care:
Clean the helmet regularly using a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the helmet's materials. Allow the helmet to air dry completely before storing. Store the helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Never store a helmet near heat sources.
