Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because the 1461 Quad II uses Pisa leather, care is relatively straightforward compared to harder patent or polished leathers. To keep the leather supple, occasionally wipe away dirt with a damp cloth and apply a neutral leather balsam or conditioner to maintain the waxy finish.
Compatibility-wise, these shoes are true to size but the platform sole can make the fit feel slightly different than a traditional flat-sole Dr. Martens. It is recommended to wear crew or mid-calf socks during the initial few wears to protect your ankles while the structure settles. Always ensure the gunmetal eyelets are kept dry after cleaning to prevent any long-term oxidation.
