Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & First Use
- Lacing: Utilize the elastic laces to achieve a snug but not overly tight fit. Ensure the thin, adaptable tongue sits comfortably without creasing.
- Break-in: While racing shoes typically require minimal break-in, it's advisable to wear them for a few shorter, faster training runs before race day to ensure comfort and adapt to the shoe's unique feel.
- Footwear Compatibility: Wear with performance running socks that wick moisture to prevent blisters and enhance overall comfort.
Sizing & Fit
The Endorphin Pro 4 is designed for a secure, race-ready fit. Consult Saucony's official sizing guide if you are unsure of your size. Many runners find racing shoes fit true to their standard running shoe size.
Care & Maintenance
To extend the life of your Endorphin Pro 4 and maintain its performance:
- Cleaning: After runs, especially in wet or muddy conditions, gently wipe down the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider removing insoles to allow for better air circulation if they become damp.
- Rotation: For optimal longevity and performance consistency, consider rotating your Endorphin Pro 4 with other training shoes. Reserve these for races and key speed workouts.
