Product Information

Full details

The Shark PowerDetect Speed Luxe Collection Cordless Vacuum is an ideal solution for homeowners seeking a sophisticated, hands-free cleaning experience that adapts to various floor types. Its core strength lies in PowerDetect Intelligence, which automatically adjusts suction based on debris and floor surface, paired with an Auto-Empty dock that stores up to 45 days of dust. While it offers premium convenience and intelligent technology, users should note that the unit's high-tech features and motorized base result in a slightly heavier build compared to basic lightweight stick vacuums.

FAQs

How long does the battery last?

The battery provides up to 60 minutes of runtime in Eco mode, though actual time varies based on floor type and power settings.

Does the dock require special bags?

Yes, it uses an allergen-sealed system; refer to the manual for the specific replacement bag type for the PowerDetect series.

Can the vacuum stand on its own?

Yes, thanks to the Flexology wand design, the unit can be bent and stored in a freestanding position.

How often should I clean the filters?

For optimal performance, rinse filters under cold water every month and let them air dry completely before re-inserting.

Does the PowerDetect sensor work on all floors?

Yes, it is designed to detect and optimize performance across both hard floors and various carpet types automatically.

Troubleshooting

Vacuum is not picking up debris

Check for blockages in the wand or floor head, and ensure the dust cup is properly seated or that the Auto-Empty dock has completed its cycle.

Power loss or short runtime

Clean the filters, check for clogs, and ensure the battery is fully charged before use; verify you are not using 'Boost' mode unnecessarily.

Dock failing to auto-empty

Ensure the vacuum is correctly aligned on the dock pins and check that the bag inside the dock is not overfilled.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Hands-free disposal with the Auto-Empty dock
Intelligent suction adjustment for seamless floor transitions
Flexible wand design for easy storage and under-furniture access
LED lighting highlights fine dust
Substantial battery runtime for full-home cleaning

Cons

Heavier unit weight compared to non-intelligent models
Requires floor space for the bulky Auto-Empty base
Higher price point due to advanced features

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your unit, choose a location near a power outlet for the Auto-Empty charging dock, ensuring enough clearance for the vacuum to dock smoothly. Ensure the dock is on a flat, level surface. Compatibility is universal across most indoor floor types, including hardwood, tile, and carpet. For maintenance, periodically wipe the dock sensors and vacuum body with a soft, dry cloth. Check the brush roll for hair wraps monthly and empty the dock's allergen-sealed bag when the indicator light suggests it is full. Ensure the lithium-ion battery is charged at least once every few months if the unit is not in regular use to preserve long-term health.
