Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Begin by unlacing the boots fully.
- Fit: Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back. There should be a small amount of space (about a thumb's width) between your longest toe and the end of the boot.
- Tighten: Systematically tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly restrictive fit. Utilize the metal eyelets for a secure, customized lacing tension. The robust lacing system is designed to hold your fit reliably.
- Ankle Support: Ensure the padded collar is snug around your ankle for optimal support and comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for varied terrain, including urban environments, light to moderate hiking trails, and uneven ground. Their durable rubber outsole with aggressive tread makes them compatible with diverse surfaces. The TimberDry™ waterproof membrane enhances their suitability for damp conditions.
Care
- Cleaning: After use, remove loose dirt and mud with a soft brush. For tougher grime, wipe the breathable mesh upper and durable overlays with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can damage materials like the ReBOTL™ fabric and TimberDry™ membrane.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the robust lacing system and metal eyelets for wear. While the TimberDry™ membrane provides waterproofing, consider periodic application of a suitable waterproofing treatment to the outer materials for prolonged protection, especially in consistently wet conditions.
