Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Columbia Crestwood shoes last, follow these maintenance practices. Break in the shoes by wearing them on short walks before attempting long-distance hikes to allow the leather and webbing to conform to your foot shape. After use on muddy trails, remove excess dirt with a soft brush and allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can degrade the midsole bonding. If the shoes become saturated, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture from the inside. Always store them in a cool, dry place to prevent the breakdown of the synthetic webbing materials.
