The CAT Grader Hiking Shoes feature a suede exterior which is water-resistant, but they are not fully waterproof. We recommend using a water-repellent spray.
These are lifestyle-oriented hiking shoes. They do not feature steel-toe protection and are not intended for heavy-duty industrial work sites.
Regular brushing with a soft suede brush and spot-cleaning with a dedicated suede eraser will help maintain the finish.
The Grader series features a standard fit. If you have wider feet, you may find the mid-cut structure snug initially.
While the PU foam footbed is comfortable out of the box, the suede material will soften and mold better to your foot shape after a few days of wear.
The PU foam may compress over time; consider replacing with a high-quality aftermarket orthotic insole.
Use a suede brush or eraser kit to lift stains; avoid using soap and water as it can cause permanent water spots.
Ensure your feet are measured properly; if discomfort persists, try loosening the lacing system to allow for natural foot swelling.
Upon receiving your shoes, it is recommended to apply a suede-specific protective spray to create a barrier against moisture and dirt. Because these are made of natural suede, avoid machine washing or soaking them in water, as this can damage the material and alter the fit. To clean, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dried dirt or mud. For tougher stains, use a dedicated suede eraser or a small amount of suede cleaner. Store the shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prevent the suede from fading or drying out over time.
