Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes - Black - UK 9

Yes, the Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes are well-suited for swimming. Their lightweight design and snug fit help them stay on your feet while providing protection from underwater hazards.

While comfortable for short walks to and from water, these shoes are primarily designed for aquatic environments. For prolonged dry land walking or hiking, footwear with more extensive arch support and cushioning would be more appropriate.

The Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes are typically true to UK shoe sizing for adults. We recommend selecting your usual UK shoe size for a snug yet comfortable fit. If you are between sizes, consider the smaller size for a more secure fit in water.

The upper of the Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes is made from a multi span textile, and the inner lining is also textile. The sole features a flexible TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) synthetic material, providing excellent grip and durability.

We recommend hand washing your Hot Tuna Aqua Water Shoes with mild soap and water, followed by thorough air drying. Machine washing is not recommended as it may damage the materials and construction of the shoes.

These water shoes offer basic foot support suitable for water activities. They do not feature specialized arch support common in athletic or orthotic footwear. For individuals requiring significant arch support, additional inserts or specialized footwear might be needed.

Ensure you have the correct size. Water shoes should fit snugly. If they are slightly loose, try wearing them with thin water socks for a more secure fit. Check if the upper is fully adjusted and there's no excess slack.

While designed for water, some water retention is normal. Ensure the shoes have adequate time to drain after leaving the water. The textile upper is designed to allow water to pass through and dry quickly. Vigorously shake the shoes to expel excess water.

Odors often occur if shoes are not dried properly. Always rinse thoroughly after use and allow them to air dry completely. If an odor persists, a gentle wash with mild antibacterial soap and a thorough rinse, followed by complete drying, should help. Consider using a shoe deodorizer.

Inspect the TPR outsole for any signs of wear or damage to the multi-directional grip pattern. Ensure the sole is clean and free of embedded debris (like small pebbles or mud) that might compromise traction. For exceptionally slick surfaces (e.g., mossy rocks), even water shoes have limits.
