No, the hood is integrated into the structural design of the jacket.
While the jacket provides some protection, it is made of lambskin leather and should be protected from heavy rain to prevent water spotting and damage.
The polyester organza bonds to the leather to add stability, preventing the leather from stretching out or losing its intended shape.
Store it in a cool, dry place inside a breathable fabric garment bag using a supportive, wide-shouldered hanger.
The reflective tape on the interior seams is a design feature intended to emphasize the garment's construction, but it is primarily visible when the jacket is open or hanging.
Hang the jacket on a proper hanger in a well-ventilated room; minor creases typically smooth out with gentle hanging.
Consult a professional leather specialist for a compatible leather conditioner; do not apply household oils or waxes.
To ensure the longevity of your Stone Island jacket, avoid exposure to excessive moisture or direct heat sources. Because the garment utilizes bonded organza and delicate lambskin, it should never be machine washed. If the jacket becomes soiled, consult a professional leather cleaner who is familiar with high-end luxury garments. When storing, always use a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain the shape of the hood and shoulders, and keep the jacket in a breathable garment bag away from direct sunlight to prevent leather drying or color fading.
