Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are securely tightened for a snug, personalized fit. The asymmetrical Flyknit collar is designed to provide a locked-down feel, so adjust lacing to complement this.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance football boots, the Phantom Luna II Elite FG may benefit from a short break-in period to adapt to your foot shape. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive matches.
Compatibility
These boots are Firm Ground (FG) specific, meaning they are designed for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and not excessively wet or muddy. Using FG boots on artificial turf (AG) or very soft/wet ground (SG) can lead to accelerated wear and tear on the soleplate and studs, and may also increase the risk of injury. Always ensure the pitch conditions match the boot type for optimal performance and safety.
Care
Maintaining your Nike Phantom Luna II Elite FG boots will extend their lifespan and performance:
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every match or training session, gently wipe off dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Inspection: Regularly check for any signs of wear, especially on the studs and soleplate, to ensure they remain in good condition for play.
