Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Nike Phantom 6 Elite High FG x EAFC boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: The Ghost Lace system means the laces are largely concealed. Simply adjust them to your preferred snugness. Lift the outer layer of the upper to access the laces, tie them securely, and then smooth the upper back down to cover them.
- Break-in: While the new fit is designed to be accommodating, a short break-in period of 1-2 training sessions is recommended to allow the boots to fully mold to your feet for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed as Firm Ground (FG) football boots. They are optimized for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can compromise the durability of the soleplate and studs, and may not provide optimal grip or comfort.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After every match or training session, clean any mud or dirt off the boots. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees can help maintain their shape.
- Lacquer Finish: The decorative lacquer finish on the soleplate is designed to wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic change and will not affect the boot's performance or durability. No special care is needed to prevent this wear.
