Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
- Setting the Time: Gently pull out the crown (the small knob on the side) to its outermost position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hands indicate the correct time. Once set, push the crown back in fully to secure the time and engage the movement.
- Setting the Date: If your watch features a date indicator, pull the crown out to the first click (usually halfway). Rotate the crown until the correct date appears. Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can potentially damage the movement. Push the crown back in fully after setting.
- Using the Chronograph: To start the chronograph, press the top pusher. Press it again to stop. To reset the chronograph hands to zero, press the bottom pusher.
Compatibility:
This Emporio Armani watch is a standalone timepiece, designed to be a stylish and functional accessory. It does not require compatibility with other electronic devices.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the case, crystal, and bracelet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, dust, and oils. For more persistent grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by thorough drying.
- Water Exposure: While the watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM, it is advised to avoid prolonged exposure to water, hot water, or steam (e.g., in showers or saunas). Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in when near water, and do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is wet.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields, which can affect its accuracy.
- Battery Replacement: As a quartz watch, it is powered by a battery. When the watch stops, it indicates the battery needs replacement. It is highly recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watch technician to ensure the watch's integrity and water resistance are maintained.
