Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Break-in: These boots require zero break-in time thanks to their advanced FlyTouch+ engineered upper. Simply put them on, lace them up, and they're ready for immediate play. Ensure you try them on with your typical football socks to confirm a comfortable, locked-in fit.
Compatibility: The Nike Tiempo Legend X Elite FG boots are designed specifically for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly wet. Using them on artificial grass (AG), turf (TF), or indoor (IC) surfaces is not recommended as it can compromise traction, damage the soleplate, and void potential warranties.
Care & Maintenance:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud with a soft brush (e.g., a toothbrush). Wipe down the upper with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution, then wipe clean with a fresh damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as this can damage the material and cause shrinkage or cracking. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag or box, away from extreme temperatures. This helps maintain their shape and material integrity.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the boots and leave overnight, then tap out. Boot deodorizers are also an option.
- Inspection: Regularly check studs for wear and ensure no debris is lodged in the soleplate. While the engineered upper is designed not to overstretch, proper care ensures its longevity.
