Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure you get the most out of your UGG Goldenstar Sandals, follow these simple guidelines for setup, compatibility, and care.
Setup
- Adjust the Straps: Upon first wear, utilize the two sets of adjustable straps to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit. Loosen or tighten each strap until the sandal feels snug against your foot without pinching or rubbing. Ensure there's no excessive movement of your foot within the sandal.
- Break-In Period: While designed for immediate comfort, a short break-in period might allow the footbed to conform perfectly to your unique foot shape. Wear them for shorter durations initially before extended use.
Compatibility
- Clothing: These sandals are highly versatile and complement a wide range of warm-weather casual attire, including summer dresses, skirts, shorts, capris, and light trousers.
- Environment: Ideal for dry, warm climates and casual urban or leisure settings. They are not designed for rugged outdoor activities, extensive hiking, or wet environments due to the suede material.
- Foot Type: The adjustable straps make them compatible with various foot widths, allowing for a personalized fit.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning Suede: For general dirt and dust, gently brush the suede with a specialized suede brush. For tougher stains, use a high-quality suede cleaner specifically designed for footwear. Always follow the product's instructions and test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid Water: Suede is not water-resistant. Do not wear your Goldenstar sandals in rain, through puddles, or near bodies of water. Water can stain and damage the suede, altering its texture and appearance.
- Protection: Consider applying a suede protector spray before initial wear and periodically thereafter to help repel water and stains. Ensure the spray is suitable for suede and follow its application instructions.
- Drying: If your sandals do get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight, which can cause cracking or stiffening. Once dry, gently brush the suede to restore its nap.
- Storage: Store your sandals in a cool, dry place, ideally in their original box or a breathable shoe bag, to protect them from dust and maintain their shape. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
