This 7-inch blue mattress from Nexus Mattresses Ltd is designed for users seeking dependable everyday support with a touch of cushioning. Its key benefit is providing consistent support through an open coil spring system and comfort layers, making it a good option for various bed frames. A primary consideration is that it arrives vacuum-packed and requires 24-48 hours to fully expand before use.

The mattress needs approximately 24 to 48 hours to fully expand to its optimal height and performance after being unrolled from its vacuum packaging. Ensure it's in a well-ventilated area during this period.
Yes, the mattress offers dependable support and has hypoallergenic properties, making it suitable for children's beds.
Yes, it is compatible with most slatted bed frames, provided the slats are no more than 7cm apart to ensure adequate support and prevent sagging.
Monobloc construction refers to the way the internal structure is built as a single, integrated unit, which enhances the mattress's overall stability and structural integrity.
This refers to the thickness and type of the spring system. A 13.5 gauge is a standard thickness for springs, and 'open coil' means the springs are interconnected in a grid formation, providing a consistent feel across the mattress.
Spot clean only with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soaking the mattress. Regular rotation will also help maintain its condition.
The mattress combines supportive springs with comfort layers and a thin memory foam layer. It aims for balanced support with a degree of cushioning, rather than being overly soft. The 7-inch depth suggests a firmer, more supportive profile.
Ensure the mattress has been unwrapped for the full 24-48 hour period in a room with adequate ventilation. Check that it has not been placed on an unsuitable surface (e.g., very uneven or soft base) that restricts expansion.
Rotate the mattress head-to-toe. If the issue persists after 48 hours and rotation, contact customer support as there may be an internal issue.
This is normal for vacuum-packed mattresses and is often referred to as 'off-gassing'. Ensure the room is well-ventilated during the expansion period. The smell should dissipate within a few days.
Ensure the mattress has fully expanded. If the issue persists after proper expansion, check that the bed base provides adequate support and that slats are not too far apart. If the problem continues, contact customer support.
