FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?

No, these are lifestyle trainers designed for casual wear and walking, not for high-impact athletic performance.

How do I clean the Vanilla Custard rubber outsole?

Use a soft brush and a mixture of mild soap and water to gently scrub the rubber edges.

Do these shoes run true to size?

Yes, they generally align with standard UK sizing for adult Converse products, though leather may feel snug initially.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the internal sockliner can be removed or replaced with custom orthotics if preferred.

Are they water-resistant?

While leather provides some natural protection, these shoes are not waterproof and should be avoided in heavy rain.

Does the GOLF le FLEUR* branding fade over time?

The branding is high-quality, but excessive abrasion or improper cleaning can cause wear over long periods.

Troubleshooting

Leather looks dull or loses its shine

Apply a high-quality neutral leather conditioner to restore moisture and shine.

Creasing in the leather toe box

Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the leather retain its shape and minimize deep creases.

Difficulty putting on the shoe due to fit

Ensure the laces are fully loosened before entry; leather may stretch slightly to accommodate your foot shape over time.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Premium full-grain leather construction
Stylish, versatile low-profile silhouette
Comfortable foam midsole for daily wear
Distinctive collaboration aesthetic
Durable rubber outsole with solid grip

Cons

Leather may feel stiff during initial wear
Low-profile design offers less ankle support than high-tops
White colourway requires frequent cleaning to maintain look

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because this trainer is made from premium leather, proper care is essential to ensure longevity. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can compromise the material's finish. Instead, use a soft, dry brush to remove loose dirt after each wear. For deeper cleaning, apply a dedicated leather cleaner or a damp cloth with mild soap, followed by a light buffing. We recommend storing the shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources to prevent the leather from cracking or warping. If the interior footbed becomes damp, remove it to air dry separately to maintain freshness.
