From the inside of the room looking out at the window, if the hinges are on the right side of the window frame, you require a right-handed fastener.
Yes, it features a locking grub screw that secures the handle in the closed position or in one of the two night-vent positions.
This product is made of mild steel and is primarily intended for interior-facing casement windows.
The fixing plate measures 64mm x 16mm x 5mm.
Yes, the design is specifically compatible with weather-stripped window frames.
Check that the fixing plate is aligned correctly and that the window seal is not obstructing the latch movement.
Ensure the screw is clean of debris. If it remains stiff, apply a tiny amount of machine oil or lubricant to the threads.
For successful installation, first confirm the orientation of your window: from the inside looking out, if your window hinges on the right, you must purchase a right-handed fastener. Use the included wood screws to secure the fixing plate to your window frame. To maintain the appearance of the grey finish, wipe periodically with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may degrade the protective coating on the steel over time. If the mechanism feels stiff, a light application of a silicone-based lubricant on the pivot point can ensure smooth operation.
