Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure proper performance and longevity of your Hoover H-DISH 500, follow these instructions.
Setup
- Installation: Ensure the dishwasher is correctly installed by a qualified professional, adhering to all local plumbing and electrical codes.
- Water Connection: Connect the dishwasher to a cold water supply.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the dishwasher into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Initial Run: Run an empty cycle with detergent to clean the interior.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect to the Wi-Fi network and download the hOn app. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the dishwasher.
Compatibility
- Detergents: Use only dishwasher detergents specifically designed for automatic dishwashers. Avoid using hand soap.
- Rinse Aid: Add rinse aid to the designated dispenser to improve drying performance and prevent water spots.
- Salt: Use dishwasher salt to soften the water and prevent limescale buildup, especially in areas with hard water.
Care
- Cleaning the Filters: Regularly clean the filters to prevent clogging and maintain performance. Remove the filters and rinse them under running water at least once a month, or more often if needed.
- Cleaning the Spray Arms: Check the spray arms regularly for any blockages and clean them as needed.
- Wiping the Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Preventing Odors: To prevent odors, leave the door slightly ajar after each use.
