FAQs

How do I add salt to the dishwasher?

Locate the salt container (usually at the bottom of the dishwasher). Unscrew the cap and fill with dishwasher salt. Add water the first time you fill the container. Follow the instructions in your user manual.

How often should I clean the filters?

Clean the filters after each cycle or when you notice food particles accumulating. Rinse them under running water.

Can I use regular dish soap?

No, you must use dishwasher detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. Regular dish soap will create excessive suds and may damage the machine.

What does the ActiveDry function do?

ActiveDry automatically opens the door slightly after the wash cycle to allow air circulation, improving drying performance and reducing energy consumption.

How do I use the delayed start timer?

Press the delay start button, select the desired delay time (in hours), and then press the start button. The dishwasher will start the cycle after the set delay.

What are the different wash programs for?

The dishwasher offers various programs like Eco (for energy saving), Glass/Delicate (for fragile items), Mixed (for a variety of dishes), Soak (for pre-rinsing), and Quick Wash (for a fast clean).

Where can I find the user manual?

The user manual is included with the product, but you can also download a copy from the Hotpoint website by searching for your model number.

Troubleshooting

Dishwasher not starting

Check the power supply, ensure the door is closed properly, and verify that the water supply is turned on.

Dishes not clean

Check the spray arms for blockages, ensure the detergent dispenser is working, and select an appropriate wash program.

Water not draining

Clean the drain filter and check the drain hose for any kinks or blockages.

Excessive noise

Make sure the dishes are loaded correctly and not hitting each other. Check for any foreign objects in the pump.

Error codes appear

Consult the user manual for specific error code meanings and troubleshooting steps.
