FAQs
Are these socks suitable for outfield players?
While designed for goalkeepers, their construction makes them suitable for any player seeking full-length, durable football socks.
Do these socks come with padding?
They feature a durable, structured knit designed for coverage, but they do not contain integrated foam padding.
How do I choose the right size?
These are specifically designated for the youth age group. Ensure the length aligns with the child's lower leg height for the best fit.
Can these be tumble dried?
It is recommended to air dry them to prevent the heat from damaging the elastic fibers.
Is the colour consistent with other Puma gear?
Yes, the yellow tone is part of the standard Puma colour palette, making it easy to match with other professional replica kits.
Troubleshooting
Sock slipping down during play
Ensure the sock is pulled high enough so the elastic top band sits securely above the calf muscle.
Fabric bunching near the ankle
Smooth out the fabric thoroughly when putting on the sock to ensure an even distribution of the material before adding your shin guards.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Secure, non-slip fit during active play
- Offers consistent lower-leg protection
- Classic, professional replica aesthetic
- Designed specifically for the goalkeeper's movement
Cons
- Limited to youth sizing
- Plain design may not appeal to those wanting bold patterns
- Requires proper folding to maintain elasticity over time
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get the best performance, pull the socks up fully to ensure the structured knit engages with your calf muscles for a secure fit. These socks are compatible with standard football shin guards; simply slide your guards underneath the sock for integrated protection.
Care Instructions:
- Machine wash cold with similar colors.
- Avoid using heavy bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the elasticity of the knit.
- Air drying is recommended to maintain the integrity of the structured fit and longevity of the fabric.
- Turn the socks inside out before washing to protect the exterior finish.
