FAQs

Does this door come painted?

No, it comes with a white primer. It is intended to be finished with a final coat of paint by the installer.

Can this door be used in a bathroom?

Yes, provided the door is fully sealed with paint on all edges, including the top and bottom, to prevent moisture ingress.

Are handles and hinges included?

No, this is a door-only product. Hardware such as hinges, latches, and handles must be purchased separately.

Can I trim this door to size?

Yes, you can trim it slightly to fit your frame, but be careful not to remove excessive material as this may expose the internal core structure.

Is this a solid core door?

The Premdor Internal Door is engineered for durability and stability, suitable for standard internal residential use.

Troubleshooting

Door is binding or rubbing against the frame

Check the hinge alignment and plane the edge of the door slightly where it binds to ensure a consistent gap.

Paint finish is not adhering properly

Ensure the primed surface is lightly sanded and wiped clean of all dust before applying your final paint coat.

Door sounds hollow when closed

This is characteristic of standard internal door construction; if higher sound attenuation is required, consider applying weather-stripping seals around the door stop.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of your Premdor Internal Door requires standard carpentry tools, including a plane for trimming, a drill for hardware, and hinges. Before beginning, ensure your door frame is plumb and square. When trimming the door to fit, avoid removing more than the manufacturer-recommended amount of material to maintain structural integrity. For care, keep the door free of dust and clean occasionally with a soft, dry cloth. If the painted surface becomes scuffed, standard interior paint can be used for touch-ups. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the surface as these can damage the finish and the underlying primer.
