FAQs

What size biscuits should I use?

Trend No. 20 biscuits are suitable for boards 19mm or thicker. The size of the biscuit should correspond to the thickness of the material and the intended joint.

Can I use these biscuits with any type of glue?

For best results, use a woodworking adhesive such as PVA glue, designed to bond with wood. Follow the glue manufacturer's instructions.

How many biscuits do I need for a project?

The number of biscuits depends on the size and type of joint. Space biscuits appropriately for the required strength and alignment.

How do I store unused biscuits?

Store unused biscuits in a dry place to prevent moisture absorption, which could affect their performance.

Are these biscuits reusable?

No, these are single-use items, and should not be reused.

What materials are these biscuits made of?

They are made of beechwood.

Troubleshooting

Joints are weak or not holding.

Ensure sufficient glue is used and that the pieces are clamped securely until the glue dries. Check that the biscuit joiner cuts are aligned.

Biscuits are too loose in the slots.

Check the biscuit joiner settings or consider using slightly thicker biscuits if available or if the wood has expanded or contracted.

Difficulty aligning the wood pieces.

Use clamps and a square to ensure precise alignment during glue-up. Consider using alignment pins for added accuracy.
