Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Ledbury 3 Seater Recliner Sofa arrives largely pre-assembled. Typically, the main setup involves:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Attaching Legs/Feet: Locate the sofa's legs or feet, usually stored in a zippered compartment underneath. Screw them firmly into the designated mounts.
- Positioning: Place the sofa in your desired location, ensuring adequate space behind and in front for the recline mechanism to fully extend without obstruction (approximately 10-15 cm from the wall).
Compatibility
The Ledbury 3 Seater Recliner Sofa is part of a coordinated furniture suite. You can seamlessly complement your living space by pairing it with:
- The matching Ledbury armchair.
- The Ledbury two-seater sofa.
These pieces are designed to match in style, color, and material for a cohesive look. Note that this specific model is in Beige, but other color variants (like Grey) may be available for the full suite.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care will ensure your Ledbury sofa remains comfortable and beautiful for years.
- Regular Cleaning: Vacuum the sofa regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and loose debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills or stains, immediately blot with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild fabric cleaner specifically designed for upholstery, testing first on an inconspicuous area.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fabric fading. Position your sofa away from direct sun or use curtains/blinds.
- Prevent Pilling: Pilling (small fabric balls) is normal with some upholstery fabrics. Use a fabric shaver to gently remove them if they appear.
- Recline Mechanism: Periodically check the recline mechanism for smooth operation. Keep the area around the mechanism clear of obstructions. Avoid forcing the mechanism if it feels stiff.
- Professional Cleaning: Consider professional upholstery cleaning every 1-2 years for a deep clean.
