The Kickers Mervan Trainers are designed for active kids who need a reliable, stylish shoe for the school day and playground activities. These unisex trainers offer the perfect balance of lightweight comfort and high-quality leather durability, though the lace-up design may require assistance for younger children still learning to tie their shoes.

No, because they are made of leather, machine washing can damage the integrity of the material and the shape of the shoe. Use a damp cloth instead.
The Mervan features a standard fit. If your child has very wide feet, you may find the leather takes a few days of wear to stretch and conform comfortably to the foot shape.
These are designed for school-aged children, provided they can manage the lace-up fastening.
While they are durable enough for playground play, they are categorized as casual school trainers rather than specialized high-performance athletic shoes.
Yes, they include a standard comfortable insole for daily support.
It is recommended to measure your child's feet in centimeters or inches and compare them to a standard UK sizing chart before ordering.
Ensure a secure double knot is tied or consider swapping for high-friction flat laces.
Use a black shoe polish or a specialized leather cream to buff out minor surface scuffs.
Adjust the lacing pattern to a 'box' or 'parallel' lacing style to reduce pressure across the top of the foot.
For the best performance, ensure the laces are threaded through the eyelets properly to match the child's foot width. To keep these leather trainers looking sharp, wipe them down with a damp cloth after particularly muddy school days. For deeper cleaning, use a mild leather-safe cleaner and a soft brush. It is highly recommended to use a leather protector spray periodically to help repel water and prevent deep stains. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can cause the leather to dry out or crack over time.
