Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first hike, ensure you have properly broken in the shoes on shorter walks to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape. When cleaning, remove loose dirt with a soft brush after each outing. If the shoes become heavily soiled, wash them by hand using lukewarm water and a mild soap; avoid machine washing as this can damage the GORE-TEX membrane. Always air dry your shoes away from direct heat sources like radiators, as extreme heat can degrade the rubber and foam components. Use a moisture-wicking synthetic sock to complement the breathable nature of the GORE-TEX technology for the best moisture management.
