FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
The adidas Dropset Control Trainers are primarily designed for stability and strength training. While they can handle short bursts of movement, they are not optimized for long-distance running due to their firm, stable construction.
How do I know if the wide fit is right for me?
If you typically find standard-width shoes constricting, or if you have a naturally wider foot, the wide fit should be comfortable. If you have a narrow foot, you may find them less secure without significant lace adjustment.
What is the TPU midfoot torsion system?
This system provides midfoot support and stability, allowing the shoe to move naturally with your foot while maintaining its structural integrity during dynamic exercises.
Can I use these for CrossFit?
Yes, these trainers are well-suited for CrossFit due to their blend of stability for lifts and support for dynamic movements common in WODs.
How do I clean the mesh upper?
Gently wipe the mesh with a damp cloth. For tougher dirt, use a soft brush with a small amount of mild soap and water, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
What is the recommended use for these trainers?
They are best used for gym-based training, weightlifting, powerlifting, and functional fitness workouts where stability and a solid base are crucial.
Do they come in other colors?
Yes, the adidas Dropset Control Trainers are available in various colorways, including White, Black/Grey, and other blue variations, depending on availability.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too tight or loose
Adjust the lacing system. For tightness, loosen the laces. For looseness, tighten them to ensure a snug fit. If the issue persists, consider if this is the correct size for your foot width.
Slight discomfort during initial wear
Allow a break-in period of a few training sessions. Wear them for shorter workouts initially to let the materials adapt to your foot shape.
Mesh upper shows signs of wear
Avoid abrasive contact with rough surfaces. Clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary.
Traction seems reduced on certain surfaces
Ensure the outsole is clean from debris. The tread pattern is optimized for gym environments; performance may vary on highly polished or wet surfaces.
