FAQs

What material is the OHS Faux Fur Ribbed Throw made from?

It is crafted from high-quality 100% polyester with a 300gsm ribbed faux fur construction, providing a velvety feel.

Is this throw machine washable?

Yes, for effortless care, it is machine washable at `30°C`. Please follow the detailed care instructions for best results.

What sizes are available for this throw?

The OHS Faux Fur Ribbed Throw is available in three sizes: `125 x 150 cm`, `150 x 200 cm`, and `200 x 240 cm`.

Does the throw shed?

The throw is designed to resist shedding, thanks to its high-quality construction. Initial shedding may occur, which is normal, but it should reduce with proper care.

Can I tumble dry the throw?

You can tumble dry on very low heat. To protect the faux fur, air drying flat is often recommended, or ensure the heat setting is minimal.

Is the throw suitable for all seasons?

Yes, its breathable yet insulating fleece construction makes it ideal for providing comfortable warmth without overheating, suitable for use all year round.

How can I best maintain its softness and fluffiness?

Wash gently at `30°C`, avoid high heat when drying, and consider air drying or tumble drying on the lowest setting. A gentle shake and brush after drying can help maintain its plush feel.

Troubleshooting

My throw feels less soft after washing.

Ensure you are washing at `30°C` on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and tumble drying on very low heat or air drying. High heat can damage the faux fur fibers, making them less soft. A gentle brushing with a soft-bristled brush after drying can help restore fluffiness.

My throw is shedding more than expected.

Initial shedding can be normal for new faux fur products. If shedding persists, ensure you are washing on a gentle cycle and avoid harsh detergents or excessive agitation. Tumble drying on low with a dryer sheet can sometimes help reduce static and loose fibers.

The colour appears dull or faded.

Wash the throw separately or with similar colours to prevent dye transfer. Always use cold water (`30°C`) and avoid direct sunlight when drying, as prolonged exposure can cause fading. Ensure you are not using harsh cleaning agents or bleach.

Care

Proper care is key to maintaining the luxurious feel and appearance of your throw. Follow these instructions carefully:

Maintenance Tip: To maintain maximum fluffiness, avoid washing with items that produce lint, and consider using a fabric softener specifically designed for delicate synthetics.
