Full details

The Fox Racing Main Kairos Mirrored Lens Goggles are designed for motocross and dirt bike riders seeking exceptional vision and value. Their primary benefit is an extra-wide viewport that maximizes peripheral vision, aiding in faster reaction times on the track. A potential caveat is that while the frame is compatible with both standard and injection-molded lenses using the VLS system, separate purchase of these lenses is required for interchangeability.

FAQs

What type of lenses are compatible with the VLS system?

The VLS (Variable Lens System) is designed to work with both standard and injection-molded lenses from Fox Racing. You may need to purchase compatible lenses separately.

Does the goggle come with multiple lenses?

No, this product typically comes with one mirrored Lexan™ lens. Additional standard or injection-molded lenses must be purchased separately.

How do I clean the mirrored lens?

Use the included microfiber goggle bag or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lens. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the mirror coating or Lexan™ material.

Can I use these goggles with my prescription glasses?

The Main Kairos goggles are designed with a wide viewport, which may offer some space for smaller-framed prescription glasses. However, fit can vary greatly depending on the size and shape of the glasses and helmet. It is recommended to try them on with your glasses if possible.

What is the benefit of the triple-layer foam?

The triple-layer foam, combined with a fleece liner, provides a comfortable seal against your face, absorbs sweat effectively, and helps prevent dirt and debris from entering the goggle.

Are tear-offs included with the goggles?

The goggles feature a strap-mounted third tear-off post for tear-off functionality, but the tear-offs themselves are typically sold separately.

What is the UV protection on the lens?

The Lexan™ lens offers built-in UV protection, shielding your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays during outdoor riding.

Troubleshooting

Goggles fog up quickly.

Ensure the lens is properly seated in the frame and that the frame vents are not blocked. Try using an anti-fog spray or wipes designed for eyewear. Ensure you are using the correct lens for the current light and humidity conditions.

Strap doesn't stay in place.

Check the silicone on the inside of the strap for dirt or debris and clean it. Ensure the strap is adjusted correctly and securely fastened to your helmet. The strap may be worn out and could need replacement if the silicone grip has degraded.

Lens is scratched.

Carefully inspect the lens for damage. If significantly scratched, it may impair vision and should be replaced. Always use the provided microfiber bag for storage and cleaning to prevent scratches.

Difficulty changing lenses.

Ensure you are applying firm, even pressure when engaging or disengaging the VLS™ clips. Refer to the product manual or online video tutorials for the correct technique. Make sure you are using compatible Fox Racing lenses.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The goggles are ready to wear out of the box. For lens changes, locate the clips on the sides of the frame that hold the lens in place. Gently disengage these clips to remove the old lens, then align the new lens (standard or injection-molded) and press firmly until the clips snap back into position.

Compatibility: The VLS™ system ensures compatibility with both standard and injection-molded lenses from Fox Racing. The goggles are designed to fit with most off-road helmets. The non-slip silicone strap helps secure them to various helmet shell surfaces.

Care: To clean the lens, use the included microfiber bag or a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the Lexan™ lens. For the foam, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth if necessary; avoid soaking. Store the goggles in the provided microfiber bag to protect the lens and frame from dust and scratches.
