Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (Break-in)
New football boots, especially performance-oriented models like the Phantom GX Pro, require a break-in period. This helps the material mold to your foot shape, preventing discomfort and blisters.
- Wear them around the house: Start by wearing your boots for short periods indoors to get a feel for them.
- Light training sessions: Gradually introduce them into light training sessions or warm-ups before playing a full match.
- Wear appropriate socks: Always wear the football socks you intend to play in during the break-in process.
Compatibility
These boots are Firm Ground (FG) specific. They are designed for:
- Natural grass pitches: Best suited for dry to slightly wet natural grass fields.
Do NOT use them on:
- Artificial grass (AG) pitches
- Indoor courts (IC)
- Hard ground (HG) or extremely muddy surfaces
Using FG boots on incompatible surfaces can lead to premature wear of the studs, damage to the boot, and an increased risk of injury.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean after every use: Remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Remove insoles: Take out the insoles to allow them to air dry and prevent odor.
- Air dry: Stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape. Air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Store properly: Store in a cool, dry place. A boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Avoid machine washing: Machine washing can damage the materials and adhesive.
