The kit includes the wall mount flange and bib tap, but you will need to purchase PTFE tape separately to ensure a watertight seal.
This kit is specifically designed for 15mm copper pipe systems. Using it with plastic pipe may require additional inserts not provided in this kit.
The bib tap features a standard 1/2 inch BSP male inlet.
Yes, the materials are durable and designed to handle outdoor conditions, though regular cleaning is recommended to maintain the finish.
The tap features a standard snap-on male outlet compatible with most universal 'click-lock' hose connectors found in garden centers.
Ensure the pipe was cut square and the olive is properly seated; tighten the nut an additional quarter turn.
Unscrew the tap and re-apply sufficient layers of PTFE tape to the male threads before reconnecting.
Check the O-ring inside the female hose connector for debris or damage; applying a small amount of silicone grease can assist with smooth operation.
Installation requires standard plumbing tools, including an adjustable spanner and a pipe cutter.
For ongoing maintenance, periodically check the compression nut for tightness. If the tap becomes stiff, verify that no mineral buildup is present in the quick-connect mechanism. If you live in an area prone to freezing temperatures, remember to turn off the water supply and drain the tap to prevent pipe bursts.
