Care Instructions
Proper care is essential to maintain the pristine condition and longevity of your leather trainers. Always refer to the product label for any specific instructions.
- Initial Protection: Consider applying a leather protector spray suitable for white leather to repel water and stains before first wear.
- Regular Cleaning (Surface Dirt): After each wear, use a soft, damp cloth (preferably microfiber) to gently wipe away any surface dirt or dust. This prevents dirt from setting into the leather.
- Deep Cleaning (Leather): For tougher stains or general cleaning, use a specialized white leather cleaner. Apply a small amount to a clean, soft cloth and gently rub the affected area. Always test the cleaner on an inconspicuous spot first.
- Lining Care: The interior textile lining can be gently wiped with a damp cloth and a very mild soap solution if necessary. Allow to air dry completely.
- Sole Cleaning: Use a brush or an old toothbrush with mild soap and water to clean the rubber sole, removing dirt and grime from the treads.
- Drying: Always allow your trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or artificial heat sources, as these can dry out and crack the leather. Stuff the trainers with paper (e.g., newspaper or paper towels) to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape during drying.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Using shoe trees can help maintain their original shape and prevent creasing when not in use.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes on the leather.
