The Regatta Altoro Thermal Padded Jacket is engineered for adult women who require reliable protection during cold, wet, and windy outdoor excursions. It delivers exceptional weather resistance and warmth through its 15,000mm hydrostatic head waterproof fabric and lightweight synthetic insulation, though the structured, performance-oriented fit may feel slightly bulky compared to lifestyle-only jackets.

Yes, the jacket features a peaked hood designed for maximum protection against wind and rain.
Yes, you can machine wash it, but it is recommended to use a mild, technical detergent and avoid fabric softeners to protect the waterproof membrane.
No, this jacket uses a feather-free synthetic insulation, which is lightweight and retains its warmth even if it gets slightly damp.
The jacket features a 15,000mm hydrostatic head, which is highly waterproof and suitable for heavy rain.
The pockets are secure and zipped, designed to keep contents safe, though we recommend using a dry bag for sensitive electronics in extreme downpours.
It is designed for challenging outdoor adventures and wet weather, though always assess the specific gear requirements for high-altitude or technical alpine climbing.
The DWR finish has likely worn off. Wash the jacket and re-apply a technical waterproofing spray, then apply low heat as per product instructions.
This is likely caused by internal moisture buildup from sweat. Try adjusting your mid-layer to a more breathable option to allow moisture vapor to escape.
To maximize the longevity of your Regatta Altoro jacket, always follow the care label instructions. Generally, you should wash the garment on a gentle cycle using a technical detergent designed for waterproof apparel to avoid clogging the membrane. Do not use fabric softeners, as they can degrade the water-repellent coating. After washing, low-heat tumble drying can often help reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) finish on the outer fabric. Store the jacket in a cool, dry place on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain the shape of the heat-sealed padding. It is compatible with standard hiking layers, though it is best worn over a moisture-wicking base layer to optimize the internal climate.
