FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for heavy-duty skateboarding?

While inspired by skate heritage, these are lifestyle trainers. They are best for casual use rather than technical or high-impact professional skateboarding.

How do I know if I have the right size?

The Adidas VS Pace 2.0 features a standard fit. We recommend ordering your usual UK shoe size.

Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?

No. It is recommended to wipe these shoes clean with a damp cloth to preserve the integrity of the synthetic nubuck upper.

What materials are used in the construction?

The trainers feature a synthetic nubuck upper, textile lining, and a rubber outsole. At least 50% of the materials used are recycled.

Are these shoes water-resistant?

They are not specifically water-resistant. It is advised to avoid wearing them in heavy rain or deep puddles to protect the materials.

Does the white version stain easily?

Like all white trainers, they can pick up dirt. Regular wiping with a damp cloth will help keep them looking fresh.

Troubleshooting

Difficulty cleaning synthetic nubuck

Use a damp soft cloth to wipe gently. Avoid harsh brushes or abrasive cleaners that can scratch the synthetic finish.

Shoes feel tight initially

Ensure the laces are fully loosened before wear. Synthetic materials often require a short break-in period to contour to your foot shape.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Classic skate-inspired aesthetic that pairs well with casual outfits
  • Environmentally conscious design using recycled materials
  • Lightweight and comfortable for all-day lifestyle wear
  • Easy to maintain with simple spot cleaning

Cons

  • Not intended for high-impact professional skating
  • Synthetic material may lack the long-term durability of natural suede
  • Limited colorway options compared to performance-specific models

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your VS Pace 2.0 trainers stay in peak condition, follow these simple guidelines:

  • Fit: These trainers follow a standard fit. Select your usual shoe size for the best comfort.
  • Care Instructions: Due to the synthetic nubuck material, avoid submerging the shoes in water. Use a damp cloth to wipe away surface dirt or dust. For stubborn stains, a mild soap solution may be used sparingly.
  • Storage: Keep the shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent potential discoloration of the synthetic material.
  • Lace Care: If the laces become frayed or dirty, they can be removed and hand-washed with gentle detergent.
