FAQs

Can this mat be used outside?

Yes, but it should be kept in a sheltered area to protect the natural fibres from excessive rain and moisture.

How do I clean the mat?

You can clean it by giving it a vigorous shake outside or using a stiff brush to remove trapped dirt.

Is the backing slip-resistant?

Yes, the mat features an eco-friendly latex backing designed to provide excellent grip on most floor types.

What is the material made of?

The mat is crafted from natural coconut husk fibres.

Can I vacuum this mat?

Yes, you can use a vacuum cleaner, but shaking or brushing is often more effective for dislodging heavy grit.

Troubleshooting

Mat sliding on smooth floors

Ensure the floor surface is clean and dry before placement; the latex backing requires a debris-free surface to grip properly.

Excessive fibre shedding

It is normal for natural coir mats to shed initially; regular brushing will help loosen and remove any loose fibres quickly.

Mat looks dull after heavy use

Use a stiff brush to lift the fibres and release trapped dirt that might be masking the pattern.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly effective at removing mud and debris
Stylish geometric pattern
Environmentally conscious latex backing

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Abstract Maze Coir Doormat is straightforward; simply place it on a flat, dry surface at your entrance. It is compatible with most door thresholds due to its standard profile. To maintain the appearance of the mat, shake it vigorously outside once a week to dislodge deep-set dirt. If debris is stubborn, use a stiff-bristled brush to clear the maze patterns. Avoid soaking the mat in water; if it becomes saturated, prop it up in a well-ventilated area until it is completely dry.
