Yes, the jacket features a detachable hood for added convenience.
It is padded for warmth, making it suitable for cool to moderate weather, though additional layering may be needed in extreme freezing conditions.
It is recommended to air dry the jacket to protect the waterproof lining and taped seams.
The jacket is constructed from durable polyester.
Refer to the specific UK children's size guide; the jacket includes adjustable features like cuffs to help achieve a snug, comfortable fit.
Check if the jacket needs a technical wash to remove detergent buildup or if the water-repellent coating needs to be reapplied.
Ensure no fabric is caught in the track and clear any debris from the zipper teeth.
To maximize the life of the jacket, always ensure the zipper is fully closed and the hood is secured properly before use. For cleaning, machine wash on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent designed for waterproof fabrics to prevent stripping the protective coating. Do not use fabric softeners, as these can compromise the waterproof properties. Hang to air dry rather than using a high-heat tumble dryer. If the water-repellent finish begins to wear off after heavy use, consider applying a specialized technical fabric re-proofer to restore its effectiveness.
