Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation should be performed in a powered-off, grounded state. Ensure the memory modules are firmly clicked into the DIMM slots—typically slots 2 and 4 on dual-channel motherboards for optimal performance. Upon first boot, enter the BIOS/UEFI utility. Navigate to the memory settings to enable either the Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO profile; failing to do so will cause the RAM to default to standard, slower JEDEC speeds. Avoid touching the gold contacts on the module, and use compressed air periodically to clear dust from the heatsink to ensure optimal cooling performance.
