Full details
The New Balance 9060 is designed for kids who want a blend of heritage style and modern comfort, making it an ideal choice for everyday wear or active play. By reimagining elements from the classic 99X series with a Y2K-inspired aesthetic, these trainers offer advanced cushioning and structural support; however, their exaggerated, chunky midsole design may feel bulkier compared to more minimalist athletic footwear.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
While they offer excellent cushioning and support for daily play, they are classified as lifestyle trainers rather than high-performance technical running shoes.
How do I choose the correct size?
These follow standard UK children's sizing. It is recommended to measure the child's foot in the afternoon, as feet naturally swell during the day, ensuring a more accurate fit.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesives and structural components of the 9060. Always clean them by hand.
What material is the upper made of?
The construction features a mix of high-quality materials including leather, designed for both durability and comfort.
Does the translucent heel turn yellow?
Like many translucent materials, exposure to direct sunlight for extended periods can cause minor discoloration; keeping them stored out of the sun will help maintain their clarity.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt on the midsole pods
Use a specialized sneaker cleaning wipe or a soft sponge with warm, soapy water to gently scrub the sculpted surfaces.
Feel that the shoe is slipping at the heel
Ensure the laces are properly adjusted and consider a runner's loop (lace lock) technique to secure the ankle collar.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your New Balance 9060 trainers stay in peak condition, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt from the outsole. For the upper materials, a damp cloth with mild soap is sufficient. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents.
- Drying: Always air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the cushioning components.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent material degradation.
- Compatibility: The sizing for this model follows UK children's standards; ensure you verify the specific size (e.g., size 3) against a current foot measurement for the best fit.
