The HOKA Clifton 11 is designed for runners seeking a reliable, plush, and lightweight trainer for everyday road miles. This 11th-generation model offers an effortless, cushioned ride through advanced compression-molded foam, though its maximalist sole profile may feel too elevated for runners who prefer a highly grounded, barefoot-style sensation.

The Clifton 11 is designed primarily as a road trainer; it may lack the aggressive grip and lateral stability required for technical trail terrain.
Typical lifespan for this foam compound is between 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running style and surface conditions.
HOKA trainers generally run true to size, but we recommend comparing your measurements against the size guide if you are between sizes.
Yes, the stock insoles are removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if necessary.
The double-lace lock is designed to keep the tongue centered, preventing the common issue of tongue migration during active movement.
Yes, the Clifton 11 features an elevated mesh upper designed specifically to maximize airflow and keep your feet cool.
Ensure you are utilizing the integrated double-lace lock feature to anchor the tongue securely against the foot.
Re-adjust the lacing tension throughout the midfoot section and ensure you are wearing the correct size with proper sock thickness.
Gently tap the soles against each other or use a soft-bristled brush to dislodge gravel or dirt from the tread pattern.
To get the most out of your Clifton 11, ensure the laces are threaded through the double-lace lock securely. For compatibility, these trainers are best suited for neutral pronators running on paved surfaces. To maintain the integrity of the foam, avoid leaving the shoes in direct sunlight or extreme heat for extended periods, as this can degrade the midsole compound. Clean the mesh upper using a soft brush and mild soap; do not submerge the shoes in a washing machine or tumble dry, as high heat can compromise the structural adhesives.
