FAQs

Is the Regatta Faye jacket waterproof?

It features a water-repellent finish that protects against light showers, but it is not classified as fully waterproof.

Does this jacket contain real down feathers?

No, it uses Feather Free synthetic insulation, which is a cruelty-free alternative.

Can I put this jacket in the tumble dryer?

It is recommended to air dry to maintain the integrity of the insulation and the outer fabric.

What is a 2-way zip used for?

A 2-way zip allows you to open the jacket from both the top and the bottom, which provides more room around the hips when sitting down.

How should I clean the peach-skin fabric?

Use a gentle machine wash cycle with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.

Troubleshooting

Water-repellent finish is not beading water as effectively as before.

Wash the jacket to remove dirt or oil buildup, or consider reapplying a DWR spray treatment.

Zip feels stiff or sticks when moving.

Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth and wipe the track with a clean, dry cloth to remove debris.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear
Versatile 2-way zip for mobility
Effective synthetic insulation avoids the use of animal products
Soft-touch peach skin fabric texture
Internal secure pocket for phones or keys

Cons

Not intended for heavy torrential rain
Synthetic insulation may lose loft if compressed heavily for long periods
Limited to cool weather use rather than extreme arctic conditions

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This jacket requires no technical setup. For optimal longevity, machine wash the garment on a gentle cycle using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can compromise the water-repellent finish. It is recommended to air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources. If the water-repellent performance begins to diminish over time, you can re-apply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to the exterior fabric after cleaning.
